Bad Weather

In the event of adverse weather conditions, we will contact parents by text daily to confirm if school is open. This text will arrive as soon as possible, once we can ensure we have sufficient staff, that heating is functioning and lunches can be provided. A message will also be posted on our website home page.

Even when school is open, you must still be sure that it is safe for you to make the journey to school with your children. We will authorise the absence if you feel it is unsafe to do so.

Entry to school will be through the main front entrance.

Children can go straight through to classes when they arrive and take off their outdoor clothing/shoes in the classroom.

At the end of the school day, Parents should come back to the main front entrance and collect their children from the teachers in the school hall. The children will be in their outdoor clothes ready to go home. This is known as 'snow procedure' and you will be advised by text when this is operating.

After School clubs may be cancelled in bad weather if it is deemed advisable for staff or pupils to start the journey home.
